Critical IT Issues Update Posted or Updated on 21 Jul 2024

The partners and staff at Phoenix Family Practice would like to thank you for your understanding today as we dealt with IT outages that fundamentally impacted our ability to provide you a service.

Our clinical system allows us to book/cancel appointments, issue prescriptions and update your medical record - without it our ability to provide your safe care is severely impacted. Our supplier has updated us today and said they are working hard to resolve the issues, but we have to be realistic about the possibility we will not be functioning as you would expect on Monday.

What to expect for Monday:

  • Our forms will remain closed while the outage persists, and at minimum will remain off until midday on Monday
  • All prescription request will be indefinitely delayed while the outage persists
  • We will have limited information on your pre booked appointments when attending the surgery
  • All routine telephone appointments will regretfully be cancelled without notification while the outage persist
  • We will only be able to deal with those who are acutely unwell
  • We will be unable to book blood tests, nursing appointments and routine GP appointments

 

We will make sure to keep you updated as we know more and kindly request your continued understanding.
