Patients are registered with the Practice but all patients have a named GP to assist with the administration and to provide continuation of care where possible. Patients can of course request to see any available doctor of their choice. When Dr Maher left at the end of May his patients were transferred to Dr Patel as their named GP.
We are pleased to announce Dr Rebecca Brown has given birth to twin boys. She will be taking maternity leave until next year. We are very pleased to welcome Dr Kugathasan Senduran who will be joining us full time from 30 June until the end of February. We have temporarily engaged Dr Senduran to look after Dr Brown’s patients and he will also be the named GP for her patients aged 75 and over and for those patients with more complex health needs.
Dr Namrata Rastogi joined our team as a permanent doctor in August 2014. You may recall she was our GP Registrar and initially visited as a medical student. We have been pleased to watch her develop as a doctor and we offer her a warm welcome back. She will be the named GP looking after some of Dr Patel’s patients and will be the GP accepting new patients requesting to register with us until further notice.
Dr Patel starts her maternity leave in December and during this time we have engaged a regular locum doctor to ensure we maintain an acceptable level of access for our patients. When Dr Brown returns from her maternity leave then Dr Senduran will stay with us to look after Dr Patel’s patients until her return planned for later in 2015.
